I just heard your BBC piece today about the, shall we say, futility of blogging.  I have to agree.  I run an information website and email list devoted to an obscure energy conversion technology.  Like you, I don&#039;t work too hard at generating web traffic or income, so I don&#039;t get much of either.  Why indeed should you (or I) give away my thoughts for free?  Increasingly I&#039;m questioning the whole idea.  It&#039;s a combination of &#039;is anybody listening?&#039; and &#039;what&#039;s in it for me?&#039;.

Then again, it doesn&#039;t cost much either.  And it&#039;s not as if I can sell my opinions to someone else!
