The Loose Wire Organisation is a boutique consultancy providing expertise related to media.

Founded and led by journalist Jeremy Wagstaff, Loose Wire builds on his expertise of more than a quarter century of journalism and living in Asia to help clients understand and leverage  the changing  media landscape.

Clients include USAID, The Carter Center, Kraft, Thomson Reuters, SPH Press Holdings, Nanyang Technological University and the Media Development Loan Fund.

Recent or ongoing projects include

  • setting up and running a media team for an election observation mission in Afghanistan
  • writing a guide on social media for journalists
  • training journalists in the art of computer assisted reporting
  • editing and writing books on media, cyberwar and Indonesia
  • developing a media/technology strategy for governance
  • developing a newsletter on media technologies
  • developing and teaching a course on digital media for university students

The organisation takes its name from Jeremy’s column in The Wall Street Journal.

Partners and members include researchers, journalists, web designers and developers, trainers and PR specialists,  based around the world.

The Loose Wire Organisation is based in Singapore.
